LifeStar helicopter dispatched after shooting of Bristol police officers

Last night in the midst of the tragic police shooting in Bristol, LifeStar was dispatched to Bristol Hospital, not the scene.

According to FlightAware, the helicopter (N146HH) had just completed a patient transfer from Torrington to St. Mary’s in Waterbury. The crew spent 40 minutes on the ground in Waterbury and flew to Bristol Hospital empty. Prior to the arriving at Bristol Hospital, the helicopter circled over west Bristol and Forestville before landing.

LifeStar spent approximately 40 minutes on the ground in Bristol before returning to its base at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich empty.
