Second annual ‘Night of Lights’ ushers in holiday

The second annual “Night of Lights” was held on the field outside Bristol Arts and Innovation Magnet School on Saturday, Dec. 16. The evening featured a tree lighting with Santa Claus and Mayor Jeffrey Caggiano, caroling led by Police Chief Brian Gould and luminaries lit along the field memorializing family and friends.

Lights were a feature of the second annual “Night of Lights” celebration as they ringed the field were a couple hundred revelers sang carols from a variety of faith traditions and were led in the Christmas tree lighting by Santa Claus and Mayor Jeffrey Caggiano. | David Fortier

The event, a partnership between Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services and Brian Shactman from WTIC Radio, began at 5 p.m. with the tree lighting at 6:15 p.m.
