Bristol Eastern volleyball sweeps past Maloney on Monday, improves record to 4-3

The Bristol Eastern volleyball team travelled to Meriden on Monday, and they pretty much dominated from start to finish against their long-time rivals.

The set scores for the match were 25-13, 25-21, and 25-8 as the Lancers cruised to the road win.

Savannah Drury served up three aces and added a dig for Eastern; Samara Paranzino had three kills with ten digs; and Andrea Martir-Perez was outstanding with four aces, eighteen digs and one kill.

Maloney was paced by Keren Crespo, who had six digs and two aces. Samantha Cicio added seven digs and two aces for the Spartans.

The Lancers improved their record to 4-3. They play at South Windsor today at 5:00.

Thursday, the Lancers drive across town for the first showdown of the year with the Rams of Bristol Central- game time is 6:30.
