Good Morning Bristol!

It is Monday, Dec. 12. Our first snowfall is just about over, and a small storm is a nice way to begin winter. Today will have mix of sunshine and clouds with a high of 38. The wind will be out of the north at 5-10 mph.

Birthday

On this day in 1915, Frank Sinatra was born in Hoboken, New Jersey. He was a modestly popular singer and actor in the 1930’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s.

Greatest inventions of the past thousand years

A poll of historians and scientists came up with the following:

  1. Printing Press- allowed literacy to greatly expand
  2. Electric light- powered innumerable social changes
  3. Automobile- increased personal mobility and freedom
  4. Telephone- spread communication over wide areas
  5. Radio and television- made the world much smaller
  6. Dairy Queen Blizzard- no explanation necessary

That’s it for today, Bristol. Drive safely. The life you save may be your own.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access
