Suspect charged from shooting incident in May

Bristol police reported that on Sunday, May 30, 2021, Bristol Police Department officers were dispatched to Crowley RV located at 9 Barber Street for a report of shots fired.

At the scene, responding officers observed several bullet holes in the windows to the business. Crowley RV was closed and there were no injuries.

A similar shots-fired incident occurred in Southington, CT shortly after the Bristol incident.

The investigation was assigned to the BPD Criminal investigation Division.

A suspect was identified as Floyd Gollnick, age 75, of 91 Grove Street, Southington. A warrant for his arrest was signed on 8/6/21 charging Gollnick with Criminal Mischief 1st degree (53a-115), Illegal Discharge or a Firearm (53-203), Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree (53a-64) and Breach of Peace 2nd degree (53a-181).

At the time the warrant was issued, Gollnick was in the custody of the Connecticut Department of Corrections for other criminal activities.

On 10/19/2021, Gollnick was transported to New Britain Superior Court where the warrant was served.
