Award-winning author to speak at Bristol Public Library during school break this April

Newbery honor-winning author Rajani LaRocca will speak at the Bristol Public Library during spring break. The event is free, lunch will be provided and a Q&A session and book signing will follow.

LaRocca will talk about the inspiration behind her verse novels, “Red,White, and Whole” and “Mirror to Mirror,” at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 11. Doors will open at 1 p.m. and lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m. The event not only takes place during school break, but also National Library Week.

This event is recommended for ages 9 and older. Registration is required. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Families are welcome. To register, call (860)584-7787, ext. 6. Seats are limited.

This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.                

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.                
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.                
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.
