Eastern girls lacrosse dominates in 18-7 win over Central

The Bristol Eastern girls lacrosse team went to BC Monday night and returned to King Street victorious with a decisive 18-7 thumping of Bristol Central.

The Lancers were paced by Harper Dauphinee’s six goal explosion.  Emma Stavens and Vanessa Drury both had four goals while Savannah Drury, Jayna Hatcher, Kate Patterson and Natalia Vye each popped in one.

The Lancers put in a true team effort Monday night.

Stavens was strong on the draw for BE, collecting 15 draw controls to keep the Lancers in possession for much of the night.

Leah Roy was feasting on ground balls in the middle of the field with six. And Jayna Hatcher’s matchup D with the help of Meg Krok and Gabby McLay really set the tone for the game.

Eastern goalie Erin Martin had a phenomenal game with 11 saves.

With her four goals scored Monday night, Stavens now has a career total of 196 goals, with a possibility of surpassing 200 in the Lancers next match.

Stavens’ four goal brings her four away from 200.

The Lancers are currently 3-2 with a tough away game today at Conard, set for 4:00.

Central travels to Avon this afternoon in another 4:00 start.
