St. Paul performing arts presents ‘Shrek The Musical’

St. Paul Catholic High School performing arts presents "Shrek The Musical" beginning March 22. | SPCHS

“Shrek The Musical” will be this year’s spring production of the St. Paul Catholic High School arts department with shows beginning March 22.

This modern take on the classic tale of an underdog who learns the meaning of friendship, inner beauty, and that everything has layers is the perfect stage adventure for any age, according to the announcement from the school

“‘Shrek The Musical’ teaches us that everyone can find love, beauty isn’t always pretty, and that nothing is handed to you,” said director Mark Mazzarella, in the release. “This show presents a challenge to inhabit, physicalize, and explore these magical characters as an actor on stage.”

Performances will be Friday, March 22 at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 23 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are available online at www.spchs.com or they can be purchased on a first-come, first-served basis at the door.

All seats are reserved seating $20 for general public, $15 for students 18 and under and $15 for seniors 65 and older.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
