2nd city-wide conversation this Wednesday at Rockwell Park

The annual conversations event will be held at Rockwell Park on Wednesday August 4, 2021, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., bringing together community members along with representatives from various groups in town.
Last year’s city-wide conversation drew hundreds to Rockwell Park to discuss issues surrounding diversity and community issue. (TBE photo file)
The Bristol Police department and members from the Board of Education will be attending, along with the Bristol Diversity Council which will have a larger presence at this year’s community conversation.
All community members are welcome to attend and join in with the conversations.
Bring your lawn chairs along with your questions as each community member has the opportunity to address any concerns or ideas that will benefit the city of Bristol.

Farmington Ave. convenience stop introduces scoop ice cream

Neighbors Convenience and Grocery adjacent to Harvest Bakery on Farmington Ave. introduced scoop ice cream a few weeks ago.
The convenience store now offers Gifford’s ice cream in both cups and cones. Single servings start at $2, cones $3. Sprinkles and waffle cones are extra.

Varieties available range from chocolate, vanilla and strawberry to Caramel Truffle and PB Caramel Cookie.
Neighbors joins a bunch of Bristol locations that offer ice cream by the scoop. Among these are the Ice Cream Churn, North Main St.; Rich’s, Hill St.; Dunphy’s, Stafford Ave.; Caravel, Farmington Ave.; and the venerable Friendly, Farmington Avenue.
