BRISTOL – The Bristol Lacrosse coop had a non-conference bout against Vinal Tech-Goodwin Tech on Monday night in what turned into a serious romp.

And before the squad from Vinal could even sink in a goal, the contest was long over by the boys from the Mum City.

The program from Bristol etched up an 18-0 push through three quarters of play, cruising to a 21-2 victory in Middletown.

Eastern improved to 9-2 overall while Vinal-Goodwin (0-4) has yet to tally a victory in 2023.

Bristol got into a flow and stayed in it from the start, notching a 6-0 lead after 12 minutes of play while securing a 13-0 halftime push that was never threatened.

The locals saw 13 different players score for the Bristol contingent as everyone got involved offensively.

Aiden Collins led all players with three goals to go along with two assists while several of his teammates scored multiple goals.

Ian Reardon (three assists), Jayden Glasper (two assists), RJ Fellows, Tygue Collins, Dylan Brown and Thomas Scout all had two goals apiece.

Also dropping in a goal through the pipes was Brady Bell, Chase Dauphinee, Braydan Dwyer, Zach Harmon, Ryan Spina and Nate Duval.

That was a tremendous scoring front with Bristol keeper Max Stavens (four saves) refusing to allow a goal over his stint on the field.

On the ground ball front, Ryan Spina led the charge with eight.

Zach Harmon added five ground balls while Zach Howley and Bell each nabbed four.

Middletown High School is next on the docket for the Bristol outfit in a CCC South tilt on Thursday afternoon.

Match time is 3:45 p.m. from Alumni Field in Bristol.

And in a special challenge on Monday, Bristol gathers the rest of its remaining gas money this season for a trip to Eastern Connecticut State University.

Bristol squares off against Edwin O. Smith in a CCC South showdown from the lacrosse field at ECSU.

That bout takes place in Willimantic at 4 p.m.
