St.Paul girls basketball cruises past Watertown on Tuesday for a 71-43 victory

The St. Paul girls basketball team, after a fairly close opening quarter, dominated all aspects of the game for the final three periods, leading to an easy 71-43 victory over Watertown Tuesday night.

Nadia Reimer, raining in baskets from all over the court, led the Falcons in scoring with 23 points. Reimer was on fire from beyond the arc, netting five 3-pointers.

Audrey Tice had another big night, adding 17 to the cause. Izzy Leggett and Zoey Rubins chipped in with 8 and 5 points respectively. And Rubins led the Falcons in assists, dishing out 6 on the night.

Although she did not score, Alexis Tierpack had a big night on the boards with 7 rebounds.

Marissa Forino led Watertown with 15 points, and Casey O’Toole added 11.

St. Paul is now 5-1 for the season, while Watertown is now 6-4.

The Falcons return to action tonight at Wilby of Waterbury in a 6:45 start.
