Local vaccination clinics open through Sunday

There are three free COVID-19 vaccination clinics available through Sunday as part of the collaboration between the Bristol-Burlington Health District and Community Health, Inc. All three vaccine types will be available at each location.

The three clines are as follows: Friday, Aug. 27 at the Bristol Senior Center, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 28, Lake Compounce, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 29, Lake Compounce, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Adults and eligible children seeking a vaccination need to register online at www.bbhd.org under the heading “Summer Vaccine Sign-up.” There is no cost and no commitment. Children ages 12-17 must receive the Pfizer vaccine.

Those who complete a vaccine series (two doses of Pfizer or Moderna; or 1 dose of J & J) will receive a $25 gift card from CVS or Walgreens.

Once registered, a consent form will be emailed. The consent form must be completed and presented at the clinic. Parents/guardians will have to sign for and accompany minor children to the clinic.

Anyone who cannot make it to a clinic and who would like to receive a vaccine may contact Bristol-Burlington Health District at (860)584-7682 and ask for Angie, Alexis or Alyssa. Information is also available at https://bbhd.org/contact-us/.
