A “Duty, Honor, Country: Salute to our Veterans” concert, presented by the Bristol Brass and Wind Ensemble and directed by Richard Theriault, in honor of veterans will be held Sunday, Nov. 5, at the Rockwell Theater at BAIMS at 3 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.

Assisting Theriault will be Kyle Camerato and the Bristol Chorale will be featured.

The Bristol Brass and Wind Ensemble and the Bristol Chorale will perform well known favorites including “Liberty Fanfare” and “Hymn to the Fallen” by John Williams, “Armed Forces — The Pride of America!”
“God Bless America” and the “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” as well as other selections.

There will also be a reading of excerpts from the “Duty Honor Country” speech given to the cadets at the West Point Military Academy by Douglas MacArthur and a pictorial tribute to local veterans.

Admission is free; however monetary donations are always greatly appreciated and accepted. A portion of all donations received will go to the Bristol veteran’s council. Visit the Bristol Brass and Wind Ensemble website at www.bbandwe.org for more information.

The City of Bristol provided funding for the program.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
