Good morning, Bristol!

Oh, my, my, it is Friday, people! Holy Ordinance Committee Meeting, Batman! How did that happen?

Regardless, today, 75 and sunny! Hey now!

Just an observation and a plea

Before the cannabis debate goes away, can the mayor please say “codify” one more time? Thank you.

Attention night watchers

All this month after sunset, look for Jupiter above the eastern horizon.

Also, in the wee hours of the AM, when people who engage in problematic behavior are scrambling home following an evening of lurid improprieties, an hour or two before the sun dusts itself off, look for Mars.

Speaking of the movies

The box office winner last week was Barbarian with $10.543,948. Distributed by 20th Century Fox, it played in 2,340 theaters. What will the box officer winner be this weekend?

The Weekend

Saturday morning, who will ring the opening bell at the Farmers Market? Last week it was Tom Dickau.

1951 was the first year of the Page Park Fishing Derby. Held at the Page Park Pond/Lagoon, the derby is named after Perry J. Spinelli, a longtime employee of the Parks Department.

That’s going to do it for Good Morning, Bristol. Everyone have a great day and a grand weekend. Be good to one another, and we will meet here on Monday.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
