BRISTOL – The Bristol Eastern girls tennis squad had its hands full against Maloney in a CCC South engagement on Monday in Bristol, dropping a tough 7-0 decision.

With the loss, the Lancers fell to 2-8 on the year.

The best match of the encounter came at No. 2 singles play as Maloney’s Lily Marcuss and Eastern’s Brooke Treannie pushed each other to the limit.

Treannie won the first set 6-4, dropped the second in a tough 7-5 showing – forcing a winner-take-all tiebreaker to determine the ultimate victor.
