BE girls lose to Farmington Monday with lowest offensive output of the season

Basketball

Farmington’s girls’ basketball team used a significant height advantage to shut down Bristol Eastern 48-31 Monday night in a tough road match-up for the Lancers.

Eastern only trailed by four at the half, 21-17, but started the third quarter missing a couple of easy lay-ups and never recovered after that.

Farmington held the Lancers to 14 points in the second half, including a dismal 5 point fourth quarter, and won going away. They played an extended 3-2 zone for most of the game, and Eastern had trouble getting off shots from both inside and on the perimeter.

Autumn Udoh was the only Eastern player to reach double figures with a ten point night.

Sarah Bertolette was dominant for Farmington, scoring 23, including 15 in the second half.

The Lancers next game will be Friday when they host Northwest Catholic at 6:30.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
