Bristol Co-Op swimmers, led by 5 wins by Mikel Palaj, sprint past South Windsor, 98-80

The Bristol Boys Co-op Swim team, led by several one-two finishes, ran its record to 3-0 with a 98-80 win over South Windsor on Tuesday.  

Bristol swimmers had 16 best times, led by first place finishes in the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay of Davis Kroll, Nathan Stellmach, Mikel Palaj and Aidan Collins.

Palaj also won an incredible three individual events for a total of five victories, and Stellmach and Collins won twice for four wins overall. Palaj took first in the 200 freestyle, the 100 breast, and the 100 fly, while Collins placed first in the 50 free and 100 back, and Stellmach won the 200IM and 100 free.

Noah Taylor added to the win parade with a victory in the 100 free. 

Bristol had several second place finishes, with Taylor taking a 2nd in the 200 free, Ryleigh Dionne in the 500 free, Stellmach in the 100 back and Kroll in the 100 breast.  

Mikel Palaj qualified for states with his times in the 200 free and 100 breast and Nathan Stellmach qualified in the 200 IM. 

Bristol next competes at Conard on Friday at Cornerstone.
