BE Volleyball runs record to 3-1 with straight set victory over Wolcott

The Bristol Eastern volleyball team ran off three straight sets with relative ease Wednesday night in the Eastern gym against a game opponent in the Wolcott Eagles.

The Lancers stormed out and held control throughout set one, winning 25-14 without any concern.

Wolcott stiffened in set 2, and stayed within distance of the Lancers, but again Eastern basically led from start to finish in a 25-21 second set.

The third followed much the same plot as set 2, as Eastern held an advantage throughout anfd finished off the Eagles by a score of 25-20.

The Lancers were led by Hannah Webber, who dominated at the net throughout the match and ended with 16 kills. Lauren Bender also was a force with 5 kills and 5 aces. And Alex Shorette was all over the court, totalling 7 kills, 6 digs, and 4 aces.

Wolcott was led by Kaitlyn Ouelette, who played great defense with 17 digs, and Elizabeth D’Ettare with 5 kills and 6 digs.
