Nardito S. Asido

Nardito S. Asido, 84, of Bristol, widower of Teresita S. Asido, died on Tuesday, Nov. 23, at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford.

Nardito was born on Aug. 20, 1937, in Naga City Camarines Sur., Philippines, and was a son of the late Luis G. Asido, Sr. and Remedios (Soque) Asido. 

He was raised and lived in the Philippines until moving to Bristol in the mid 1970’s when he went to work for New England Airfoil Products as an Engineer. He also worked for Textron and Superior Electric before retiring. He attended St. Matthew Church in Bristol. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, and watching action movies. He loved watching sporting events especially baseball and basketball, and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Nardito leaves three children: Norvin Asido and wife, Tina of Southington, Myra Chaivanik and husband, Scott of Bristol, and Annaliza Graham and husband, Judah of North Carolina; siblings: Alberto and Arnold Asido, Evelyn Asido-Mendoza, Janette Asido-Garcia, and Eden Asido-Evangelista; six grandchildren: Ryan and Kaitlyn Asido, Tyler and Cole Chaivanik, and Jett and Jagger Graham; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by a son, Nelson Asido, a granddaughter, Savannah Asido, and brothers, Hernani Asido and Chito Luis Asido, Jr. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Matthew Church in the Spring of 2022.
