Blues to Host ‘Bark in the Park’ Sunday afternoon

By Laura Bailey

The Bristol Blues will welcome man’s best friend to Muzzy Field Sunday afternoon for the “Bark in the Park” event.

“Dog owners are just really fun people, and ‘Bark in the Park’ is going to be great. We hope to see Bristol come out for some fun,” said Blues Director of Community Relations Sarah Lucien.

The Blues (19-6) will be looking for their 20th win of the season against the Valley Blue Sox, and fans who bring their canine companions will be given free admission to the game.

“We’re so grateful to the Parks Department for letting us have the event. We appreciate everyone there,” Lucien added.

The gates will open at 4 p.m. and the game is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by M.R. Homecare Inc, Your CBD Store, and Bristol Adult Resource Center.

“We have three generous sponsors and we’re grateful for them,” Lucien said. “We’ll also be joined by Brass City Rescue Alliance and The Pet Spa. There will be raffle baskets available as well as $5 nail trims for the dogs.”

Dogs will not be allowed on the playing field but are welcome in the grandstands.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access five (5) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access five (5) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have no limits.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
